**Role Title:** Viptela SD-WAN Build Engineer

### **Role Overview**

The Viptela SD-WAN Build Engineer will be responsible for the **implementation, configuration and testing** of Cisco Viptela SD-WAN infrastructure within enterprise transformation and transition programs. The engineer will work closely with solution architects and transition leads to deploy and validate SD-WAN services across data centers, branches and cloud environments.

### **Key Responsibilities**

• Implement and configure **Cisco Viptela SD-WAN components** including vManage, vBond, vSmart and edge routers (vEdge/cEdge).
• Execute deployment activities based on approved Low-Level Design (LLD) and configuration templates.
• Perform **SD-WAN policy configuration**, routing setup, segmentation and traffic prioritization.
• Conduct **end-to-end testing** and validation of SD-WAN sites prior to migration and handover.
• Support migration and transition activities in collaboration with architecture and operations teams.
• Maintain and update documentation including build guides, configuration templates and runbooks.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for build-related issues during pilot and rollout phases.
• Ensure configurations comply with defined security and compliance standards.

### **Required Technical Skills**

• Hands-on experience with **Cisco Viptela SD-WAN** setup, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VPNs, NAT, QoS and traffic policies.
• Understanding of WAN, MPLS, Internet, and LTE connectivity models.
• Familiarity with integration of SD-WAN in **hybrid environments** (Cloud, Data Center, Branch).
• Basic exposure to automation (Python/Ansible) and API-driven provisioning preferred.
• Experience in creating or following **SOPs, deployment checklists** and technical documentation.
