Senior Field Service Technician

THE WORK
Do you like to do the exact same thing every day? Neither do we! Every day is different. As a Service Technician, your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the installation, repair, and maintenance of pool equipment. You will interface with residential and commercial customers in providing service and general guidelines. You will report to and work closely with the Service Manager to ensure excellent customer service and quality workmanship. Tasks include:
- Having a positive attitude and willingness to equip and encourage co-workers
- Installation, troubleshooting and repair of commercial pool/spa equipment
- Installation and repair of all PVC plumbing
- Installation, troubleshooting and programming of automated chemical control systems and feeders
- Pool and spa winterization
- Water testing and chemical balancing
- High regard for health and safety policies and practices
- Other duties as required
THE SKILLS
- Basic knowledge of electrical equipment
- Working knowledge of general plumbing hydraulics; repair or replacement of pumps, filters, timers, pool cleaners, UV’s, blowers, lights, automated pool systems, chlorinators, backwash valves, PVC plumbing; repair suction problems as well as priming problems and high/low pressure problems
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Established credibility and integrity
- Strong sense of urgency
THE QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3-5 years of aquatic industry experience
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) an asset but not mandatory
- Applicant must have a valid driver's license with a clean driver’s abstract
THE WORKING CONDITIONS
- Indoor and outdoor work year round
- Fast paced work environment

- Ability to lift 50-75 pounds
