As they continue to grow and expand their operations, they are seeking a Plant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their full meat processing facility located in Southern Alberta (North of Lethbridge/Taber).

This individual will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, product quality, and team performance while helping drive the continued success of a respected local operation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the meat processing facility, ensuring efficient production and workflow.
  • Lead, supervise, and support plant staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
  • Monitor and maintain production schedules, output targets, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all operations comply with food safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Work closely with team members to maintain product quality and consistency throughout all stages of processing.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost efficiencies, and operational enhancements.
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet production demands.
  • Oversee health and safety practices within the facility and promote a culture of workplace safety.
  • Coordinate with leadership and other departments regarding inventory, supply needs, and production planning.
  • Address operational challenges as they arise and implement practical solutions to keep production running smoothly.
  • Support the continued growth and expansion of plant operations.

Experience

  • Previous experience in meat processing, food production, or a similar manufacturing setting is required.
  • Previous managerial experience is required.

Salary

$80,000 – 100,000+

  • Salary based on qualifications and experience.
  • Full benefits provided after completion of probationary period.

Work Hours

  • Monday to Friday.
  • 40-50 hours per week.

  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
