Job Description

The Manager, EEDI Operations role will implement, oversee and sustain key components of the EEDI strategy, including project planning, key deliverables and providing a consistent cadence for progress updates. This role will support EEDI governance and operations activities, such as managing internal EEDI websites, EEDI processes, playbooks and documents, program design and deployment, and recognition – both nominations and surveys.  In addition, this position will ensure on time and in scope delivery by managing projects/activities to support EEDI governance and operations, including internal EEDI websites, EEDI processes and playbooks, and submissions. Reporting to the Director, EEDI Strategic Enablement, this role supports cross-functional initiatives across many functions and teams.  

Responsibilities 

 

  • Manage projects/activities to support EEDI strategic priorities, review, approval and execution with concrete accountability and measurable results. Own external survey submission and internal award process lead.  

  • Create and maintain a project dashboard report ensuring clear deliverables, status, and accountability. 

  • Communicate project information to stakeholders, design templates, create presentations, review and edit project deliverables and maintain a project information repository. 

  • Support technology evaluation and implementation, acting as primary point of contact for external vendor management, ensuring business requirements, budget and timeline, and activation expectations are exceeded.  

  • Work with business stakeholders to establish standards and practices, while understanding and allowing for necessary flexibility to respond to specific business needs, local requirements and unexpected circumstances, as required. 

  • Agile partner with the ability to drive project alignment to drive optimization of shared technologies and partnerships. 

  • Lead with a mindset that models and mentors a commitment to service and continuous process improvement at all levels of the organization. 

  • Act as an ambassador of the EEDI organization representing the services, support and resources available to the business and managing the reputation of AbbVie. 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. 7 years+ of experience managing sensitive data or information. 

  • Broad multi-stakeholder experience, ranging from senior executives to individual contributors. Ability to influence people without direct authority to achieve solutions. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills plus interpersonal and presentation skills to drive results. 

  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive working and learning environment. 

  • Proven track record of leading and implementing large-scale programs and projects. High organization and detail orientation with a successful track record of executing initiatives from start to finish. 

  • Effectively use data to tell a story or create a narrative for change. 

  • Acts with authority in decision-making situations and takes on decision-making roles amidst uncertainty when necessary. 

  • Strong curiosity and learning mindset.  

  • Advanced knowledge and experience using MS Office, specifically ppt and excel. 

  • (Preferred) Experience working in Fortune 100 global and matrix organizations, in a complex work environment.
