Job Description
The Director, Procurement Analytics is a senior role with a strategic mandate to oversee the development and deployment of data and analytics capabilities across the procurement function. This role involves high-level engagement with functional business leaders, translating analytics demands into comprehensive roadmaps, and guiding the adoption of data-driven decision-making within the organization. The Director will also be responsible for the strategic leadership of data health and the delivery of analytics products, ensuring they drive value and support procurement objectives.
Responsibilities
- Envision and articulate the overarching strategy for data and analytics within procurement, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving digital transformation.
- Lead the development of integrated data and analytics roadmaps and develop business cases with respective funding in collaboration with the Business Technology Solutions (BTS) Data Office, to set the direction for capability enhancement.
- Oversee the translation of business needs into data and analytics solutions, ensuring data and analytics delivery aligns with stakeholder expectations and adds value to procurement operations.
- Champion the adoption and utilization of data assets and analytics products, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous learning.
- Direct the governance of data processes, establishing maintenance routines, quality standards, and reporting mechanisms to ensure ongoing data integrity.
- Envision and maintain the infrastructure necessary for advanced procurement analytics, including dashboards, applications, and other enabling tools.
- Actively participate in Program Increment (PI) planning and agile ceremonies to drive alignment on data product priorities for each release.
- Monitor and report on the health and value of data assets, instituting improvements and best practices to maintain the organization's competitive edge.
- Provide visionary leadership for the data and analytics teams, nurturing talent, fostering innovation, and encouraging professional growth.
- Build and maintain a high-performance culture within the data and analytics teams, ensuring they are equipped to meet current and future challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related business or operations function.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing senior internal business and functional leaders.
- Proven expertise in data analytics and strategic capability development in a procurement function.
- Experience developing strategic roadmaps for digital transformation and leading adoption cross-functionally.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
