Quality Inspector (GFRP Production)

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of GFRP rebars, meshes, and related products
• Verify diameter, weight per meter, resin content, and fiber alignment as per specifications
• Ensure compliance with ASTM / ISO / internal GFRP standards
• Perform and record tests such as: o Visual inspection (surface defects, cracks, voids) o Dimensional checks (dia, spacing in mesh) o Bend/rebend checks (if applicable) o Basic mechanical testing (as per plant capability)
• Monitor resin mixing ratios, curing conditions, and process parameters
• Maintain daily inspection reports and QC logs
• Identify non-conforming products (NCRs) and ensure segregation
• Support production team in maintaining consistent quality output
• Ensure proper labeling, traceability, and batch identification
• Assist in calibration checks of measuring instruments

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / ITI / B.Tech (Mechanical / Civil / Polymer / Production
• 14 years experience in manufacturing QC (preferably composites, plastics, or steel)
• Basic understanding of: o Reinforcement materials (GFRP/TMT)

o Measurement tools (vernier, weighing scale, gauges)

• Ability to read drawings and specifications
• Attention to detail and documentation discipline
• Experience in GFRP / FRP / Pultrusion process
• Knowledge of ASTM D7205 / IS standards for rebars (preferred) o Measurement tools (vernier, weighing scale, gauges)
