Job Title: Lead Frontend Developer – Next.js / React / GraphQL

Location: Fully Remote (3–4 hours overlap with US Eastern Time)

Contract: 6+ months (potential extension)

Job Description

We are looking for a Lead Frontend Developer with expertise in Next.js, React, and GraphQL to lead frontend development for a high-performance CMS platform. You’ll architect scalable solutions, integrate with GraphQL/REST APIs, and drive technical excellence. Experience with headless CMS architectures is essential; Sitecore XM Cloud experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Sitecore XM Cloud or JSS.

Knowledge of other headless CMS platforms (Contentful, Strapi, Sanity).

Experience with e-commerce platforms and GDPR compliance.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

Understanding of SEO best practices and CMS migrations.

Proven ability to mentor junior developers and lead teams.

Requirements

· 10+ years JavaScript development with expert-level React proficiency.

· 3+ years building Next.js apps (versions 13/14) at scale.

· Strong experience integrating GraphQL and REST APIs.

· Expertise in TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and Tailwind CSS.

· Familiarity with Vercel deployments, edge functions, and optimization.

· Self-driven, disciplined, and excellent communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and make technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build Next.js applications with SSR, SSG, and ISR for optimal performance.

Develop reusable, accessible UI components with SEO and multi-language support.

Integrate GraphQL and REST APIs for large-scale content delivery.

Optimize global performance using Vercel, CDNs, and edge caching.

Lead frontend architecture, mentor developers, and establish best practices.

Collaborate with backend teams and technical leads to align solutions.

Use AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to accelerate development.
