Position Overview
We are seeking a React JS Developer to build modern, responsive, and accessible web applications supporting enterprise claims management and workflow systems. This role will work closely with architects, UX teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver scalable user experiences and modern front-end solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain modern React-based web applications that support mission-critical business processes and provide exceptional user experiences across multiple user communities.
- Build responsive, accessible, and high-performing interfaces that function seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices while adhering to modern web development standards.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, designers, and technical teams to translate business requirements into intuitive and scalable user interface solutions.
- Develop reusable components, application frameworks, and front-end architectures that improve maintainability, consistency, and long-term scalability across the platform.
- Integrate front-end applications with enterprise APIs, authentication services, workflow platforms, document repositories, and cloud-based services.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization capabilities utilizing Azure Active Directory B2C and modern identity management technologies.
- Participate in application testing, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality software releases and positive end-user experiences.
- Support accessibility initiatives by developing solutions aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA standards and government accessibility requirements.
- Contribute to Agile development activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current on emerging front-end technologies, development frameworks, and best practices that improve application quality, usability, and maintainability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Seven (7) or more years of front-end development experience supporting enterprise web applications and large-scale business systems.
- Five (5) or more years of hands-on experience developing modern applications using React.js and related front-end technologies.
- Strong expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design principles, and modern web development frameworks.
- Experience building component-based architectures, state management solutions, and scalable front-end applications that support complex business workflows.
- Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs, backend services, authentication platforms, and enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of software development best practices including testing, version control, source code management, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong understanding of web accessibility standards, usability principles, and responsive design concepts.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Federal, State, or Local Government agencies and developing applications that serve diverse user communities and public-sector business processes.
- Experience working within workers' compensation, insurance, healthcare, financial services, legal services, case management platforms, or other regulated industries that support complex workflows and user interactions.
- Familiarity with multi-role portals that support claimants, employers, insurers, attorneys, healthcare providers, and internal operational users.
- Experience implementing Azure Active Directory B2C authentication solutions, user registration workflows, role-based access controls, and identity management capabilities.
- Experience supporting accessibility compliance initiatives and developing applications aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA standards or similar accessibility frameworks.
- Familiarity with Azure App Services, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Application Gateway, document management systems, and cloud-hosted application environments.
- Experience utilizing Azure DevOps, automated build pipelines, deployment automation, testing frameworks, and DevSecOps practices.
- Knowledge of speech technologies, document processing workflows, case management applications, or workflow-driven enterprise platforms is highly desirable.
