Mortgage Loan Post Closing

Role Overview

The Post-Closing Specialist is responsible for the final audit and delivery of closed mortgage loan packages. You will serve as the bridge between the closing table and our investors, ensuring every file is compliant, complete, and "salable." This role requires high-velocity multitasking, a deep understanding of mortgage documentation, and a zero-tolerance policy for errors. This is a work from office position only.

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehensive File Audit: Review executed closing packages for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal/state regulations (TRID, RESPA, etc.) and investor guidelines.
• Trailing Docs Management: Track and retrieve missing documents, including recorded Mortgages/Deeds of Trust and final Title Policies.
• Stipulation Clearance: Resolve any investor "suspense" items or purchase stubs promptly to ensure the loan is purchased on schedule.
• Agency Delivery: Prepare and upload loan files to agency portals (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA) or private investors.
• Communication: Coordinate with title companies, attorneys, and internal processing teams to correct document errors post-consummation.
• Data Integrity: Ensure the Loan Origination System (LOS) reflects the final, corrected data from the signed closing package.

Candidate Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years of mortgage experience, specifically in closing, post-closing, or quality control.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with LOS platforms (e.g., Encompass, Byte, or MeridianLink) and document imaging systems.
• Knowledge Base: Strong grasp of the Closing Disclosure (CD), Note, Mortgage, and various riders. Understanding of UCD (Uniform Closing Dataset) requirements is a plus.
• Soft Skills: An obsessive attention to detail and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines without breaking a sweat.
