Washington State Licensed Medical Coder, this full-time temporary position involves assigning codes to diagnoses and procedures, reviewing patient documentation for accuracy, and preparing claims for insurance reimbursement. Key Responsibilities Assign appropriate codes to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments using classification systems Review patient charts for accuracy and completeness, ensuring correct code sequencing Collaborate with healthcare staff to clarify documentation and maintain patient record confidentiality Required Qualifications Proven work experience as a Medical Coder or in a similar role Three years of experience working directly for a Critical Access Facility or Rural Health Clinic Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Experience with Meditech Expanse is preferred
