About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time / Fractional CFO for our client, a high-growth company currently undergoing significant expansion and strategic development.

This role requires a highly strategic finance leader who can partner closely with the executive team, CEO and COO to help guide the company through its next phase of growth.

The ideal candidate is forward-thinking, operationally strong, and capable of “seeing three years ahead,” while also remaining hands-on in financial modeling, systems strategy, and executive decision support.

This opportunity is ideal for a modern CFO who embraces AI-driven finance workflows and is comfortable leveraging tools such as Claude to build financial models, streamline reporting, and improve strategic forecasting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team on financial planning, growth strategy, and business scalability
• Partner directly with the CEO and COO to support long-term business planning and executive decision-making
• Participate in bi-weekly executive leadership meetings on Wednesdays and Fridays
• Review and enhance current pro-forma financial models while developing future-state models and supporting assumptions
• Build and refine financial forecasting models using AI-enabled workflows and tools, including Claude
• Advise on ERP strategy, financial systems modernization, and AI integration opportunities across finance operations
• Provide strategic guidance on significant business transactions, including financial, tax, and regulatory implications
• Collaborate with external tax and legal advisors to optimize:
• Corporate structure, Tax efficiency, Trust structures. SR&ED opportunities, Jurisdictional and corporate location considerations
• Support company valuation initiatives by validating key assumptions related to pricing strategy, R&D expenditures, and growth projections
• Oversee and maintain the company’s data room to support ongoing financing and strategic initiatives
• Advise leadership on financial year-end selection following the company’s recent incorporation
• Deliver executive-level financial insights and recommendations to support scalable growth and operational excellence

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CFO, Fractional CFO, or senior finance executive within high-growth or scaling organizations
• Strong expertise in financial strategy, forecasting, corporate structuring, and operational finance
• Experience supporting financing activities, valuation exercises, and strategic transactions
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and workflows in finance environments
• Comfortable developing financial models and forecasting tools using Claude or similar AI platforms
• Strong understanding of ERP systems, finance automation, and technology-enabled finance operations
• Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management skills
• Highly strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate long-term business needs while remaining operationally engaged
