Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will support the accounting department by performing essential financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards. Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and recording journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Conduct account reconciliations for the general ledger, balance sheet, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes by compiling financial data and preparing reports.
  • Manage data entry tasks within accounting NAV Dynamics and Excel.
  • Assist with accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
  • Participate in internal audits and support compliance efforts related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and governmental accounting requirements.

Skills

  • Advanced experience in excel
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting.
  • Experience with NAV Dynamics and Excel
  • Familiarity with GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices.
  • Ability to perform account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and account reconciliation efficiently.
  • Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficiency in 10 key typing is a plus.
  • Strong math skills combined with analytical thinking for account analysis and financial reporting.
