Temporary Nurse Practitioner at RVCHC

Join Rainbow Valley Community Health Centre as a temporary full-time Nurse Practitioner to support primary health care and illness prevention during a maternity leave. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to enhance community health and wellness.

This temporary role focuses on delivering primary health care and client education as part of an interdisciplinary health team. You will practice to the full scope of the Nurse Practitioner role while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and social workers. Strong emphasis is placed on disease prevention, health promotion, and educational initiatives in group settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide primary health care and illness prevention services
• Educate clients on health promotion strategies
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary health team
• Utilize courtesy privileges for diagnostic tests at SFMH
• Participate in program development and evaluation

Requirements

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Experience in community health nursing
• Strong clinical skills in a primary care setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and access to a vehicle
