Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage financial records, maintain accurate accounts, and support day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, invoices, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain financial transactions in accounting software
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and deposits
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reports
- Maintain general ledger and financial records
- Prepare financial reports, summaries, and spreadsheets
- Monitor cash flow and budgeting activities
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing deadlines
- Support accountants during audits and month-end/year-end closing
- Organize and maintain financial documents and records
- Work and manage other team members in accounting office
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Skills
- Payroll experience
- Knowledge of tax preparation and remittances
- Experience with financial reporting
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Familiarity with Canadian accounting practices and HST/GST filing
- Skills in Native Status for HST/GST filing
Work Environment

- 42.5 hours/week
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
