What our work looks like
This is a full-time position for the Lloydminster, AB Area. We seek Journeyman or apprentice Instrument Technicians with relevant commercial, industrial and oilfield experience. With a consistent focus on safety, cost control and client satisfaction, the Instrument Technician will also have a history of producing quality work with attention to detail that meets or exceeds client needs. Selected candidates can be expected to:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain various oilfield instruments.
- Inspect and test the operation of instruments and systems, diagnosing faults using pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments.
- Install process control instrumentation, including transmitters, controllers, analyzers, and control valves.
- Perform mechanical work associated with instrument repair and modification, including removal and installation of small piping and tubing.
- Rebuild and calibrate transmitters and control valves, tune controllers.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work.
- Complete all written and electronic required, documenting the work in progress and as it is completed, including Work orders, Maintenance reports, and Material requests.
Qualifications
- Journeyman or apprentice Instrument Technician with experience in oilfield maintenance is a must.
- Strong computer skills with a high level of interest in learning Noralta’s propriety applications
- Current H2S Alive certification and Standard First Aid would be an asset
