Entain Canada is hiring for a Head of Media Strategy and Planning. This highly influential leadership role will work at the intersection of Sports, Entertainment and Gaming in the world’s 3rd largest gaming market, a key market for Entain, a FTSE100 company, a global leader in gaming, active in over 30 markets globally.
The Head of Media Strategy and Planning is responsible for defining and leading the company’s full-funnel media strategy, with clear ownership of top and mid-funnel investment, planning, and performance through our in-house media team.
This role sets the strategic direction for how media drives brand growth, demand generation leading to customer acquisition and commercial impact in a highly competitive, performance-driven environment, ensuring alignment across brand, product, analytics, and commercial teams.
This high impact leader will lead a high-performing media team and will establish and nurture the frameworks, partnerships, and capabilities required to deliver scalable and measurable growth across traditional and digital channels, while operating within regulatory and responsible marketing requirements.
- Own full‑funnel media strategy (top & mid funnel), aligning brand and performance media to drive awareness, demand, and high‑value customer acquisition across key moments
- Lead media planning, budgeting, and investment governance across two national gaming brands, balancing ROI with long‑term brand growth
- Drive acquisition strategy through close partnership with Performance Marketing, CRM, Product, Commercial, and Analytics teams
- Set channel and partner strategy, unlocking innovation across emerging platforms, automation, and AI while ensuring execution excellence
- Lead the media function end‑to‑end—team development, senior stakeholder influence, measurement, and regulatory / responsible marketing compliance
Qualifications
- 8–12+ years in media, performance marketing, or digital marketing leadership roles
- Proven experience leading full-funnel media strategy at scale
- Strong understanding of paid media channels, planning frameworks, and measurement approaches
- Experience managing significant media budgets and driving ROI
- Strong leadership and team development experience
- Ability to operate strategically while staying close to execution realities
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working in high-performance, acquisition-focused environments (e.g. iGaming, eCommerce, fintech, or similar)
- Strong understanding of performance metrics such as CPA, LTV, and conversion optimisation
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in high-growth, digital, or regulated industries
- Exposure to advanced measurement approaches (MMM, incrementality testing, etc.)
- Experience working across multiple markets or regions
