Based in Annapolis, MD, the company is committed to sustainable practices and growing orgainic food while fostering a deep connection with nature. Maidstone harvest facilities work in acordance to the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act. While prioritizing eco-friendly techniques (ie. no till, cover crop, crop rotation, composting, water-wise, IPM) , regenerative farming, agroforestry, soil conservation, and biodiversity. Role Description

This is an on-site role for a Farm based in Annapolis, MD. The Farmer will be responsible for planting, growing, harvesting, and maintaining crops and wild flowers according to sustainable and eco-friendly practices. Additional responsibilities include soil preparation, irrigation, pest management, and equipment maintenance to ensure optimal yield and the health of the environment. Collaboration with team members and adherence to best practices in sustainable agriculture and FSMA will also be integral to the role.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques
• Experience with soil management, irrigation systems, and pest control
• Ability to operate and maintain farming and gardening equipment
• Understanding of sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural practices
• Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Team collaboration skills and ability to communicate effectively
• Relevant farming or horticulture certifications are a plus
• A passion for sustainability and dedication to environmental welfare
