About the Role: We’re looking for Entertainment Show Technicians to join our team in Washington DC to operate and maintain a large-scale live bubble show throughout the month of July. If you love putting on a show and special effects, this is the opportunity for you!
As an Entertainment Show Technician, you will play a role in delivering seamless and awe-inspiring performances to our audience. Your passion for live entertainment and dedication to creating extraordinary experiences will shine through in every show. Additionally, you may assist with the installation and strike of show equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate the show with precision and maintain its quality throughout the run.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and conduct necessary repairs.
- Watch for safety concerns and promptly report them.
- Complete daily show reports documenting important performance details.
- Assist in the installation and strike of theatrical equipment.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience in live entertainment or production preferred.
- Knowledge of theatrical terminology and proficiency in audio and lighting equipment.
- Must be able to carry ladders and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Confidence in working in lifts, on ladders and at various heights.
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments under various weather conditions including heat, cold and rain.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, stooping, and lifting.
- Adaptable to a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends, overnights, and holidays.
- Possess a reliable mode of transportation and a working cell phone.
