Backend Engineer (.NET Core)

We’re hiring a full-time Backend Engineer (.NET Core) to build the core systems behind our ERP platform at Babco Foods . This role is for engineers who can handle real-world complexity - not just basic CRUD APIs.

Location: India (remote)

Required Core Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (New Jersey time)

Experience: 5–10 years

What This Role Requires

• You’ve built backend systems with complex business logic
• You understand scalability, performance, and system design
• You can work independently and make sound technical decisions
• You think in terms of systems, not just endpoints

Core Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services using .NET Core / ASP.NET Core
• Implement ERP logic (inventory, orders, workflows, data processing)
• Design scalable APIs
• Optimize database performance and queries
• Contribute to system architecture decisions

Hard Requirements

• Strong experience with .NET Core
• Solid understanding of system design and architecture
• Experience with relational databases ( SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL )
• Experience building and maintaining production APIs
• Ability to handle complex, real-world workflows

Strong Plus

• Experience with ERP or operational systems
• Experience with distributed systems or background processing
• Azure Fundamentals or cloud infrastructure experience
• Familiar with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline
• Experience with Entity Framework core
• Experience with Microservices
