We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Lead to oversee daily operations within our manufacturing and warehouse facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management, process improvement, and warehouse distribution. This role requires bilingual proficiency in English and French, along with technical expertise in ERP systems, SAP, AS400, and warehouse management systems.
The Operations
Lead will be responsible for supervising teams, ensuring safety compliance, optimizing processes, and maintaining high levels of customer service. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence across multiple departments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise operational teams to ensure efficient workflow and productivity in manufacturing and warehouse environments.
- Oversee inventory management, order picking, packaging, and shipping processes utilizing ERP systems such as SAP, AS400, and warehouse management systems.
- Coordinate with supply chain partners including 3PL providers and manage purchasing activities to optimize inventory levels.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality standards through continuous improvement methodologies.
- Manage the use of equipment such as forklifts while ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Utilize Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for reporting, data analysis, presentations, and communication purposes.
- Oversee warehouse distribution activities ensuring timely order fulfillment and optimal resource allocation.
- Facilitate team management through effective communication skills, leadership development, and supervising experience.
- Support customer service initiatives by resolving operational issues promptly and maintaining high service standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and enforce safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on e-commerce logistics, packaging strategies, and process optimization projects.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or warehouse operations with supervisory or team management responsibilities.
- Strong familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or AS400; experience with warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in process improvement initiatives within supply chain or logistics environments.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable to facilitate communication across diverse teams.
- Technical skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook, Windows OS, and computer science fundamentals are essential.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts and managing heavy lifting tasks safely is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills combined with time management capabilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of 3PL logistics operations, purchasing procedures, order picking processes, and e-commerce fulfillment is advantageous.
