Kforce has a client that is seeking a Junior Accountant in Annapolis, MD.

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger activities. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their accounting career in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger records
• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• Assist with financial reporting and account analysis
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Help ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2 years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
