Senior Python Backend Engineer (Agentic AI / Generative AI)

Role Overview

Senior Python Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Agentic AI systems and Generative AI (GenAI) . The candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and building scalable backend systems, developing autonomous AI agents, and working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Gemini models.

Candidates will play a key role in architecting intelligent systems, building agent-based workflows, and ensuring robust evaluation frameworks for AI-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python. Build and deploy AI agents / autonomous agents, including orchestration, tool integration, and workflow design. Work with Gemini (Google GenAI models) and other GCP AI services to develop intelligent applications.

Develop and implement agent evaluation frameworks, including performance benchmarking, accuracy validation, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Data Science, DevOps) to deliver end-to-end AI solutions. Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability in cloud environments.

Ensure adherence to best practices in code quality, security, and cloud architecture. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in distributed systems.

Required Skills &

Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Python backend development (FastAPI, Flask, Django, etc.). Strong experience in Agent development / Agentic AI frameworks (Google ADK, Langchain, etc.) . Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Vertex AI, Vertex Agent engine, AI/ML, etc.

Experience working with Gemini (Google Generative AI models). Strong understanding of agent evaluation techniques (prompt evaluation, model benchmarking, RLHF concepts, etc.). Good understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
