Good Earth Gardeners is a garden design, installation and maintenance company that is based in Anne Arundel County and the Eastern Shore regions of Maryland. We are currently seeking an experienced Applied Horticulturist who is passionate about horticulture. As an Applied Horticulturist, you will be responsible for planting and maintaining gardens loaded with history and diversity. From detailed containers to multi-acre estates, every day at Good Earth is an opportunity to hone your horticultural skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage & maintain established trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals in residential gardens
• Perform pruning techniques such as thinning, shaping, and hedging
• Ensure health and growth of plants
• Planting, mulching, edging, and sod removal
• Communicate effectively with fellow gardeners, clients, and leadership

Qualifications

• Prior professional gardening and/or horticulture experience is required - at least 3 years
• Professionalism and the ability to work closely with others
• Current MD driver’s license and reputable driving record
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to confidently identify common landscape plants
• Ability to work in all weather conditions including wind, light rain, heat, and cold
• Good time management skills and the ability to multi-task
• Bend, kneel & lift at least 50lbs: Ability to work a laborious job five days a week

Work Day: Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:30 or 5 daily

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
