Mental Wellness Worker in Dauphin

Become a Mental Wellness Worker with Frontier School Division in Dauphin, Manitoba. This permanent role focuses on student support, mental health initiatives, and collaboration with families and community partners.

Reporting to the Area Superintendent, this position involves being part of a multi-disciplinary team within the Student Services and Wellness Department. Responsibilities include providing clinical services, individual and group counseling, and facilitating family support systems. You will work alongside school teams and external agencies to enhance student wellness through comprehensive and tailored programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling for students
• Facilitate family support and consultation services
• Develop proactive programming for student mental health
• Collaborate with community resources for crisis responses
• Act as a liaison between students and support teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work
• Registered or eligible for Manitoba School Clinician certificate
• Extensive experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care
• Knowledge of First Nation and Indigenous cultures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
