Job Summary

You must be a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with a current and valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

This position requires a compassionate and experienced professional dedicated to ensuring residents receive exceptional care while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. The Director of Care will lead a team of caregiving staff, manage operational functions, and promote a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for all residents.

Duties

• Develop, implement, and monitor care plans based on resident needs
• Supervise caregiving staff
• Oversee medication administration processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations
• Manage staffing schedules and optimize operational efficiency
• Conduct resident health assessments and treatments.
• Ensure compliance with all laws & regulations related to assisted living operations
• Lead staff training programs
• Promote a culture of compassionate care, dignity, & respect for residents & families

Skills

• Proven experience in assisted living or LTC settings
• Extensive knowledge of nursing practices, medication administration, and senior care
• Supervising experience with the ability to motivate and guide teams
• Excellent organizational skills
• Compassionate communication skills tailored to elderly residents with diverse needs.
• Ability to navigate regulatory requirements and ensure compliance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
