Job Summary
You must be a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with a current and valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
This position requires a compassionate and experienced professional dedicated to ensuring residents receive exceptional care while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. The Director of Care will lead a team of caregiving staff, manage operational functions, and promote a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for all residents.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor care plans based on resident needs
- Supervise caregiving staff
- Oversee medication administration processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations
- Manage staffing schedules and optimize operational efficiency
- Conduct resident health assessments and treatments.
- Ensure compliance with all laws & regulations related to assisted living operations
- Lead staff training programs
- Promote a culture of compassionate care, dignity, & respect for residents & families
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living or LTC settings
- Extensive knowledge of nursing practices, medication administration, and senior care
- Supervising experience with the ability to motivate and guide teams
- Excellent organizational skills
- Compassionate communication skills tailored to elderly residents with diverse needs.
- Ability to navigate regulatory requirements and ensure compliance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
