Construction Bookkeeper/Admin Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Admin Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our growing small business. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily administrative operations, and ensuring smooth financial workflows. The ideal candidate will have experience with Quickbooks accounting software and possess strong analytical skills to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation processes. Prior experience with the construction industry is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain financial records using accounting QuickBooks Software
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently and accurately
• Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to ensure data integrity
• Assist when needed with payroll processing
• Conduct account reconciliation to verify accuracy of financial data
• Support administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and correspondence
• Generate financial reports for management review and decision-making

Qualifications

• Proven experience with QuickBooks
• Experience working with the construction industry
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices
• Experience in payroll processing, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation
• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account analysis
• Ability to perform budgeting and financial reporting tasks effectively
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Prior experience in administrative support roles is preferred but not required
