Warehouse Lead Hand Afternoon Shift

Job Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Lead Hand plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This hands-on leadership position is responsible for coordinating and supporting warehouse team members on the afternoon shift while ensuring operational efficiency, accuracy, and safety standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support warehouse team members during order picking and truck loading activities for daily deliveries
• Communicate operational concerns, inventory discrepancies, or workflow issues to management
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve order-related or shipping issues
• Verify order accuracy prior to shipment and loading
• Assist with order picking, loading, unloading, and material handling activities as required
• Perform inventory cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives
• Provide hands-on operational coverage during team absences or peak periods
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Support general facility upkeep and preventative maintenance activities
• Load, unload, move, and store products manually or using material handling equipment
• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and related tools
• Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and storage areas
• Use computerized inventory systems to manage product movement and inventory records
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Ensure facility security procedures are followed at the end of shift
• Complete shift reports and related documentation
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment preferred
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Customer service focused with a positive and professional attitude
• Comfortable using computers and inventory management systems
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and material handling tools
• Ability to lift up to 22 kg (50 lbs.) on a regular basis
• Comfortable working at heights, bending, crouching, kneeling, and performing physically demanding tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with inventory and order fulfillment processes

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
