Job Description
As a member of our dedicated team at Climate Connect Digital, you will be part of a mission-driven organization that aims to revolutionize the energy sector by making it greener and more affordable. Established in 2011 and now headquartered in Gurgaon, India, we are at the forefront of accelerating the global energy transition. Following our acquisition by ReNew Power, we have been newly formed as a fully independent subsidiary with a visionary strategy for rapid growth.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage the middle-office and back-office operations of the trading operations at CCD
- Analyze, model, and report market risk for all trading activities
- Develop and maintain risk reporting/analytics to communicate position, P/L, and market risk
- Coordinate deal and price in trading system, perform deal check, price validation, curve update, and data reconciliation
- Develop controls and governance frameworks for structured business
- Monitor timely deal capture, internal trading limits, and risk policy requirements
- Work closely with traders to create, test, and execute trading strategies
- Identify and communicate operational risk, define risk mitigating measures, and priorities
- Conduct secondary and primary research using public and paid databases
- Gather and evaluate policies and regulations on energy & carbon sector
- *Qualifications Required:**
- Bachelors degree in Economics or STEM, MBA, or masters in economics
- 2-4 years experience in trading and risk management
- Strong understanding of trading, operations, risk, compliance, and mid/back-office processes
- Experience/knowledge of voluntary carbon markets and energy markets
- Comprehensive understanding of risk management methodologies and valuation models
- Proactive in process improvement with exceptional curiosity, energy, and drive
- Strong presentation skills, commercial sense, and business acumen
- High accuracy output with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Workspace
