Traditional Healing and Wellness Specialist

Become a Traditional Medicine Practitioner to nurture community health through cultural practices. Enhance patient care with traditional medicine assessments and flexible scheduling that aligns with lifestyle needs. In this full-time position, you will deliver traditional healing and cultural insights to various clients and families. Collaborating closely with Health & Wellness Services, you’ll blend traditional and western methods for optimal healthcare delivery.

Your role will be pivotal in administering traditional practices that support holistic wellbeing. Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with health service teams for integrated care
• Provide and prepare traditional healing medicines
• Offer cultural teachings to clients and communities
• Facilitate healing support for clients and families
• Required travel across the district to deliver services Requirements:
• 3-5 years of experience in traditional health programming
• Post-secondary education related to Indigenous Studies is preferred
• Anishinaabe ancestry and cultural understanding favored
• Must hold a valid Ontario driver’s license
