Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a DC RN license, 2 years of L&D experience, and Cerner proficiency.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes females of childbearing age, pregnant patients at 17+ weeks gestation, laboring patients, and triage cases
- Procedures include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage, and pre-op care
- Unit activity encompasses admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries
- Common equipment includes fetal monitors, Cerner, and Fetalink for documentation
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Schedule is 3x12-hour rotating shifts (AM/PM)
- 36 hours per week
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
- NRP certification required
- AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience in a US hospital setting required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- US Social Security Number required
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include managing admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op preparation, and supporting vaginal and C-section deliveries
- CPI certification is mandated for this position
- Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
- All certifications submitted must be AHA-issued
