Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Backend Rust Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for building safe, high-performance backend systems where reliability and efficiency are critical. The ideal candidate has deep fundamentals in Rust, a strong grasp of memory safety and concurrency, and a mindset geared toward leveraging modern AI tools to accelerate development and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance backend services and APIs in Rust
• Strong command of Rust fundamentals: ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, traits, and error handling
• Build concurrent and asynchronous systems using async/await and Tokio ecosystem
• Write optimized SQL queries and improve database performance
• Strong proficiency in REST APIs and Microservice design
• Integrate caching solutions like Redis for performance optimization
• Implement JWT/OAuth-based authentication and role-based authorization
• Handle exception management, logging, debugging, and production issue resolution
• Optimize services for low-latency, high-throughput, and resource efficiency
• Collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams for integration and deployment
• Follow best practices in clean coding, security, and backend architecture

Good to Have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
• Knowledge of Microservices Architecture
• Exposure to Kafka / RabbitMQ / NATS
• Familiarity with AWS / Azure / GCP
• Experience with FFI, WebAssembly, or systems-level programming
