Fire Officer

Purpose/Objective A Fire Officer with over 5 years of experience in the Thermal Power Generation industry is sought to join our team in Raipur, Chattisgarh.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, employees, and assets by implementing and overseeing fire prevention measures, emergency response protocols, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Develop and implement comprehensive fire safety and emergency response plans for the Thermal Power Generation plant - Conduct regular fire risk assessments and safety inspections to identify potential hazards - Ensure compliance with all relevant fire safety regulations, codes, and standards - Lead fire drills, training sessions, and simulations to educate employees on emergency procedures - Manage and maintain fire detection and suppression systems, equipment, and resources - Coordinate with external emergency services and agencies to enhance overall emergency response capabilities - Investigate fire incidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence - Prepare reports, documentation, and records related to fire safety activities and compliance - Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in fire safety

Technical Competencies

Knowledge of relevant fire safety regulations and codes in the Thermal Power Generation industry,Proficiency in conducting fire risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies,Thorough understanding of fire prevention, detection, and suppression systems

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Fire Engineering, or related field
