Job Description
Customer Service Specialist
Come work for Acme Paper & Supply! We are a long-time successful, family-owned distributor of paper products, food service packaging, restaurant equipment and industrial packaging products serving the mid-Atlantic region. Our customers include stadiums, hospitals, popular local attractions, restaurants, schools and other businesses.
This position is located in our corporate office in Jessup, MD. It is an in office position with a schedule of Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm with possibility of a hybrid schedule after 1 year.
If you have experience providing customers with phone support including troubleshooting problems and solutions for order problems and good computer skills, this could be a great job for you!
******We are not considering applicants who only have retail or call center experience. Your customer service skills must be more advanced including active listening, relationship building and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to provide excellent service to assigned clients and ensure their needs are consistently met. This involves continual relationship building and accountability.
- Verifies orders in the software or receives telephone, email or fax orders from customers or sales people.
- Coordinates and interacts with other departments including the warehouse, sales, other client services personnel, purchasing and accounting to ensure efficient and accurate processing of customer orders.
- Resolves issues relating to delivery and inventory.
- Assist sales to meet the expectations of our customers by providing required information to sales or direct conversation and interface with the customer.
- Coordinate information regarding orders for customers pertaining to estimated dates of delivery, back orders, direct shipments, or shortages.
- Assist in finalizing billings of vendor to client shipments, processing credit memos and performing mass price increase uploads.
Qualifications
- Above average data entry skills and accuracy.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year customer service support experience (not retail or call center).
- Experience with NetSuite is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
